A guided tour of the Battle of Westport Museum including an overview of the Battle of Westport, a tour of the museum, and a trip out to Byram's Ford to get a first hand look at a relatively undisturbed part of the battlefield. It's about a 15 minute drive from the Harris-Kearney House to Byram's Ford. This tour costs a flat fee of $25 for up to four people.
Our standard battlefield tour starts at the Harris-Kearney and lasts from about 3 hours. After an overview of the Battle of Westport, we drive out to Byram's Ford to visit the least disturbed portion of the battlefield. Here we discuss the events that took place on October 22 and 23, 1864. Then we drive over to the battlefield south of Brush Creek to discuss the events that took place on October 23, 1864.
